Being a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, I put off reading this fictionalized book for quite a while. Nancy Horan obviously did her research while writing Loving Frank, which is the story of Wright's love affair with Mamah Cheney, the wife of one of his clients. Wright and Cheney both left their spouses and children and moved to Europe for a year. This move was disastrous to Wright's career and he moved back to Wisconsin in an attempt to revitalize his work. Cheney returned to the US a while after Wright and they lived together at Taliesin (Wright's home and studio) in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Their lives together came to a tragic end that had a profound effect on Wright.

This book is a timeless love story and a wonderful blend of history, fact and fiction. Awesome book!
