First of all, there are hundreds of great gardening books on the market. Gardening is my hobby, so I've got well over 100 books on the subject. For our area, "The Southern Living Garden Book" is probably the best book for plant information. I also think any of the American Horticultural Society's books are excellent. My favorite is their "Encyclopedia of Garden Plants". Another great book for plant identification is "Botanica".

For incredible photography and unusual plants, any of Ken Druse's books are wonderful. I have "The Natural Shade Garden", "The Collector's Garden", "The Natural Garden" and "The Passion for Gardening". Another of my favorites is "A Garden Gallery" by George Little and David Lewis.

John, not only have I bought many gardening books from Booktraders, I buy the majority of ALL my books here. I always find an incredible selection of not only classics but a huge number of books that are on the current best seller lists at great prices. I've also bought many signed, first editions, of some of my favorites.

Booktraders is my "first stop" when I'm looking for something to read. I have always found the staff to be courteous, helpful and knowledgeable! I'm an avid reader (2 - 3 books a week) and don't know what I did before I found this place several years ago. I LOVE THIS STORE!!!

John, I didn't pay her to write that.  But I am giving her a personalized mybooktraders.com email address.
